I was so excited when I came to school because of cross country. Morning tea and lunch was only half an hour. At 12:30 we had to meet up outside room 18 so that we can walk to the reserve and start the race. I was in Takitemu my color was yellow.

We were walking to the starting line so we can start . When Mr Brut clash the black and red wood we all began to run the race. We all went through the puddles and  mud in my shoes were muddy.

The people that were staying there so that we can be safe, were eating their lunch, they were playing on their phones and they hung their jackets on the trees. My friend tripped on the stairs and fell over, I picked him up, so we ran together.  

When we were nearly at the finish line I beat my friend . He said “Nice running”. I felt happy when I got to the finish line and out of the puddles, the mud and the bush.

I was excited when silver turned into gold Valerie Adams won the gold medal  for passing the drug test and playing the sports properly. Nadzeya Ostapchuk cheated  by doing drugs so that she could throw longer.

 Ithink that she deserve to have no medal.

In my opinion that Valerie Adams is now not disappointed at herself now.

 

Olympic Flame

The flame symbolises the death of the greek heroes.  


The flames are lit every 4 years throughout the Olympic  Games.
 
 In Greece 2700 years ago was the first torch relay. The flame lights up every 4 years.

Taekwondo

Taekwondo is all about fighting until you win
and try to kick the other guy. You have to fight and you not allow to punch but you only can to overcome.


It was invented in three kingdom era 50 BC in Korea.

You need a belt and a trunk protector with a dobok. Taekwondo  contest fight on a court measuring
8m by 8m.


You need good kicking skills and have high kicking.


It interesting because you are not allowed to punch
put only defend.

Olympic Flag

Baron de coubertin designed the olympic flag 1913 - 1914
with the interlocking olympic rings.

Blue, red, green,  yellow, and  black is on a white background.

They are the colors that represent the Olympic continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, America, and Europe.

State of Origin

In the holiday I went back home and waited until the state of origin. When my Queensland won by one point  Todd Carney got his kick in and made
his team NSW get a draw. With us and our best guy Cooper cronk got the drop kick in .Jarryd hayne got injured from Darius Boyd. Josh Morris jumped on Greg Inglis is back and if he hadn't jumped on him Greg Inglis would get the try and they will be winning by lots
of points.

Term 2 Reflection

Reading
I have gotten better at finding answers faster and easier.I am good at looking for answers.      
I have not done so well at sounding out the words. But I know how to sound out easy words. I need to improve in reading faster and pronouncing the words better, so that i can keep reading the book quickly.

I have learnt how to put capitals at the right place, with full stops at the right place. I am good at writing good paragraphs and putting full stops at the right place so that my stories makes sense. I did not do so well at writing proper words. with capitals .I need to improve my spelling and also writing good paragraph with full stops.
